ManageEngine Site24x7 Likes & Dislikes
We like the ease of use, the dashboard layout, and the granular controls within the platform.
It allows for multiple configurations, and it does give you instant visibility into all applications if configured correctly. You can set multiple different alarms for if a just a service is up compared to the whole server. You can see all details into the server such as storage usage and ram usage. There is an app for your phone. It is very cheap for a monitoring application.
The most interesting feature of the product is, its amazing end point central management which provides built in remote access with possible recording session for audit purpose. It provides AD management by easily integrating with it.The GUI is very easy to use and the way device discovery and update information is interesting. The network monitoring for different devices allows to have an overall view of the NOC. The reporting method for each case is very good.It has an easy role management system. The most interesting part in addition to its functional component is its documentation which allows any one to easily customise the product and use it
Frequency of false positives, the learning curve, and cost of database monitoring.
It does require an application to be installed on your devices. Understanding the best way to configure alarms can take some practice. Support was not always quick to respond.
It requires different licenses for each component like Central end point management,It requires time to customise the product.

Going Beyond Just Uptime: In-Depth Server Analysis With Ease
The product works very well as an uptime monitor for your servers and applications, but it pings all over the country and sometimes if it fails in one location then you will get an error even though it is not really an issue. It was sending traffic over port 80 on the initial setup but once understood then we were able to change that.
