The product offers more visibility into our operations, it helps us manage our data more effectively, and centralizes our data so we can operate on a single platform.
The three things I like most about Manhattan Active Transportation Management: 1) Visibility to Purchase Order level data that allows us to pre-plan and appropriately route shipments while considering cost, transit time and carrier selection. 2) Visibility into shipments in transit while providing our business with insight into key milestones that help us plan and make adjustments if needed based on tracking data. 3) Manhattan captures an array of shipment data that allows us to monitor multiple areas that include but are not limited to: in transit freight costs, future freight costs, and freight invoice auditing features. Using historical shipment data, we are able to look at trends and pinpoint areas of our supply chain that need improvement. We have been able to use this data to improve our forecasting both from a shipment planning perspective and projected freight costs perspective.
some customizations have to be redone in active
The product is hard to customize. There were a lot of workarounds implemented to support pretty standard business practices. Dispatching and post planning operations are not user friendly and can be difficult/prone to errors.
Manhattan Active Transportation is growing from an international perspective. There are multiple areas of progress and I believe this product will grow and benefit as more businesses begin to use this product.
