“Positive Cloud Solution Experience, but Roadmap Details Required”
Good experience with the solution and its evolutions/features, wich correspond to our expecations. One regret concerning the satellite upgrage wich are over-sold. The roadmap needs to be more precise concerning the feature, we can discuss on developments and be unable to plan them because of the lack of precision. Microsoft could add this detail by adding the necessary disclamers.

Some elements are outstanding and some are ok/below par.
Support for the product is not great - hard work, repetitive and often lacking with the in depth responses you might expect especially when paying additional for elevated (unified) support.
Technical expertise we have been able to access has alleviated some of the support issues and provided much more in terms of knowledge and advice - excellent.
Licensing and usage is extremely complex leading to a number of additional costs, meaning it feels expensive.
The modules occasionally do not go far enough for the needs of the business and you have to purchase additional software to handle this
There are some elements that we cannot do or are limited in doing compared to our previous AX12 on premise experience. Performance tuning, storage, archiving and retrieval as examples.
To mitigate this we do use a vertical which allows us to do rental which adds to come of the complexity of the above.

For context this is not all users and is complicated by our rental vertical, but it is a frustration Complexity of licensing especially around ancillary products, although this will depend on the size of your organisation and its own complexity Some modules do not go far enough and you need to purchase additional software to handle any gaps

Product Lacks Basic Functions and Struggles with Large Data Processing Tasks
Fast Track and BD Team are really good, the collaboration and relationship works really well. Product (D365) lacks several basic functions for which ISVs had to be implemented. Good (implementation) Partner network. Solutions provided by the technical team (MS) to problems encountered are below average. Good knowledge sharing forums from the CABs. Microsoft's Support Teams are Consistently Dependable - Gold partners not so much
Dynamics is an excellent solution for mid to large manufacturing companies. There are no significant issues that we face and the cloud environment remains available and steady. Generally a feature rich product, but MS can be slow to react to suggestions for new functionality. Certain areas are a bit clunky (budgeting, intercompany journals, workflow) Financial country specific localisations are sometimes limited
