Performance of System Center Service Manager Across Market Features
System Center Service Manager Likes & Dislikes
I like how well SCSM integrates with other Microsoft System Center products, which keeps everything unified across the environment. Workflow automation, reporting capabilities and built-in ITIL alignment make daily operations much easier to manage.
I like that it is included in our existing Microsoft licensing
It has excellent out of the box integration with System Center Configuration Manager and within the Microsoft ecosystem. It is highly configurable and provides powerful automation for ticket routing, approvals and service requests. Reporting is very robust.
Some parts of the console can feel slow during peak usage, especially in larger environments. Customizations are powerful but sometimes require more technical knowledge than expected, and updates can take longer than modern cloud tools.
SCSM is very fragile and the user portal is not robust enough when compared to modern solutions
This requires significant configuration and knowledge to set up and maintain properly, and there can be a steep learning curve with software that is heavy with dense terminology and interfaces that require specialized and skilled resources.
