We have been using ManageEngine OpManager for monitoring our complete infra resources. All our devices, servers, virtual machines on VMWare and Hyper-V, and network devices are monitored using ManageEngine OpManager. It provides deep visibility into the performance of your routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless LAN controllers, servers, VMs, printers, and storage devices. The support from ManageEngine is great. The product is reliable and secure. We use it on a daily basis. One of the best use cases where we utilized this was during the load testing of our servers. We monitor all the servers and their resource consumption through the ManageEngine OpManager. This helped us to gather the stats and conclude on the performance testing of our application on these servers.
one of the main challenges we experience is that the application can be slow at times, especially during peak monitoring or reporting activities. additionally, custom reporting is relatively difficult to configure and often require extra time and trial-and-error to achieve the desired output.
The product support team
ManageEngine OpManager provides a robust set of features, however, there is a learning curve involved for understanding its advanced features. This is a great option to provide alerts and notifications, however it sends multiple alerts which may not be required every time and hence needs to be configured correctly. It can be integrated easily with other ManageEngine products however integrating with other third party products requires lot of efforts. OpManager helps in viewing performance, bandwidth consumption and any device configuration changes. This helps in faster resolution and turn around time for fixes are less.
