There have been three main strengths as we utilize Padlet: 1. Large offering of unique templates that can fulfill needs for a variety of classroom activities 2. Seamless integration of photos, audio recording, and video recording into various notes allows for multimodal learning and more efficient information sharing 3. The slideshow feature makes it easy to focus on one set of notes at a time when the activity may involve a large number of categories of information
Students enjoy using it.
Simple so I can use it a lot of different ways. Easy for students and teachers to access.
The following areas of improvement remain from our experience with Padlet: 1. When you have a larger number of students working on a Padlet at the same time, it can be easy to accidentally override each other's changes due to lag 2. It is nice to be able to export Padlets to PDF or CSV files to preserve the information offline, but the documents can be overwhelmingly large in the case of larger projects 3. While there is a range of access levels for collaborators, it is an all-or-nothing type of adjustment that cannot otherwise be fine-tuned for individual users
The Padlet-Canvas LTI is too confusing. This could could be a Canvas issue. Once you figure it out, it works fine, but it is much easier to use the embed links. Unfortunately, those don't connect to the Canvas Gradebook.
Only 3 free Padlets but I understand!
