It is a self-service platform that allows user to manage their own identities by themselves. It is highly customizable that allows to meet your custom use-cases and requirements. It provides high security by enforcing best security practices and features.
Overall capabilities.
There are various features i personally appreciate: 1. Keeping access of resources & governance specified to the relevant department or people. 2. Its basic analytics capabilities helps our organization to track & manage the access management program. 3. The access process request includes self-service access, requests, approval workflows & reporting which helps manage organizations access requests.
It requires experienced candidates to work on it who has already worked some user identity management platform. It requires maintenance efforts on a timely basis to update the configurations. Implementing the platform requires license from the ForgeRock that comes with the cost.
Documentation is lacking. System does not behave as expected.
There is a big room for improvement in Forgerock identity platform: 1. It is a bit difficult to manage & implement for organizations with less technical expertise. 2. It is also not as much customizable to its fellow IGA solutions. 3. This identity platform may not have been much expensive or a large enterprise like us, but there is a significant associated with implementation of this software for small enterprises.
