We have been using AWS API Gateway to manage and expose our backend services where it provides a scalable and reliable way to handle API traffic, with seamless integration across other AWS services like Lambda, Cloudwatch and IAM significantly simplifies building secure and event-driven architectures. This performs well under all scenarios. There is a slight learning curve around the configurations. One of the most valuable aspects is its ability to handle request throttling, authentication and monitoring, which reduces the need for additional infrastructure. Performance is consistent, and the platform scales automatically without manual intervention. Overall. Amazon API Gateway is a robust, enterprise-grade API management solution that is well-suited for modern cloud-native applications. Despite minor complexities in setup and cost optimization, it delivers strong performance, scalability and integration capabilities.

Overall experience has been very positive. We have done a implementation of ebonding between 2 servicenow instances. One servicenow instance was a shared services domain separated and client moved from domain separated to their own standalone instance . However the client didnt wanted to stop the tickets creation in shared instance so the requirement of ebonding came between these instances. While doing ebonding we used WSo2 Api and use was very seamless . What a minute level of mapping of the fields were done . I was amazed to see the attachement API working so perfectly. No words to express the level of detail easy to use . I would recommend WSO2 API to everyone to keep the instance secure and mapping of fields intact , no surprises.

MuleSoft has been a strong foundation for our enterprise API and integration strategy. What has worked particularly well is the ability to implement API-led architecture at scale, enabling reuse across domains and improving delivery velocity across multiple programs. The platform performs reliably in complex environments, supports hybrid deployment models, and integrates well with both legacy and cloud-native systems. Standout strengths include: (1) a mature API-led connectivity model that drives reuse and standardization, (2) flexible deployment options (CloudHub, RTF, hybrid) that support enterprise constraints, and (3) strong governance and lifecycle management capabilities through Anypoint Platform. The partnership has also been a positive—engagement is collaborative, and issues are addressed quickly with a clear focus on long-term platform evolution. Challenges include: (1) platform complexity and a steep learning curve without strong standards and experienced teams, (2) cost management and capacity planning that require active governance, and (3) observability and monitoring across distributed integrations, which can require additional tooling and maturity. If starting over, we would invest earlier in governance, API standards, and operating model definition to reduce variability and improve consistency across teams.

My overall experience using Microsoft APIM is that it is very secure and very well integrates with Azure. There's a lot of options you can choose from. You can define an API, Create an AI API, Create from definition or Create from Azure resources. Sometimes it's very time consuming because it's complicated to troubleshoot esp if you don't have enough Microsoft skills

IBM API Connect is widely used for its strong security, full lifecycle API management, and user-friendly interface, but users also report challenges with complexity, performance, and cost.If starting over, many organizations would invest more in training and planning before deployment. The best advice for prospective customers is to carefully evaluate scalability needs and prepare for the learning curve.
