As a data analyst, I have used Tableau for multiple projects and POC across different domains. Tableau made it easy for me to move raw data to meaningful insights without spending too much time on heavy technical steps. I am impressed with the list of data source connectors and how simple it is to connect to different data sources. The drag and drop interface feels very natural and simple, even when working on complex dashboards. When it comes to performance, it gave me more flexibility to handle large datasets while still keeping the dashboards responsive. Overall, Tableau has been a reliable and effective tool in my day to day work as a data analyst. It helped me deliver clear insights, Build impactful dashboards for the business organisations.

Overall Experience is overwhelming with Power BI due to its open source platform where you have leverage to use sheet and make dashboard over the sheet and not limited to just sheet they have lot of data source available from where you can pull your data to make dashboard real time which is awesome.

Qlik Sense is a tool that is used to create dashboards for analysis and reporting for users, using multiple sources. It is something a user with less technical knowledge about the tool can work on as well and as an expert you can create scripts at a very high level with a single tool. The level of complex scripts you can write on it with ease and speed is something that is very amazing. Some native charts are slightly outdated and plain, but with each update they are making sure the users get the latest tech.I have also used different types of BI tools in which they need additional tool just to do complex ETL which makes things more complex for users but with Qlik Sense we don't need to worry about that, we can create any level of complex ETL with it.

4. Looker

By Google

4.5
(931 Ratings)

As a software engineer, my overall experience using Looker has been honestly pretty solid, mostly because it caters heavily to a developer-first mindset. The absolute biggest game-changer for me is LookML. Unlike other BI tools where you are stuck in a clunky drag-and-drop UI, Looker lets me actually write code to define the semantic layer. Being able to use Git for version control, open pull requests, and keep the logic DRY with extends and explores makes it feel like a natural extension of our standard engineering workflows. That said, it is not entirely without its quirks. While LookML is incredibly powerful, the learning curve can be a bit steep for non-devs. This sometimes means data requests still bottleneck with the engineering team. Also, debugging complex Persistent Derived Tables or deciphering the exact SQL Looker generates under the hood can occasionally turn into a frustrating rabbit hole. You quickly learn that Looker is only as fast as your underlying data warehouse. Overall, though, I really like using it. It perfectly bridges the gap between raw SQL and non-technical business users. I honestly do not dread building business dashboards anymore, simply because I know the underlying data models are robust and maintainable.
