The fact that QlikView Desktop software is free is what I like the most. It offers an all-features versión for free and yo can develop anything you want for your data, all connectivities are available, so you can connect from an flat file to SQL or Oracle databases. It is a great tool for those who are experts in BI or even for newbbies who want to interact with data.

Powerful tool to run multitude of reports

Some visualizations difficult to format

You need to put some effort in formatting options to make them presentable, unlike Tableau's drag-drop logic.

Sometimes runs slow when many users are trying to get a report at the same time (i.e. month end reports, etc...)

It's ability to uncover data pattern/trend and it's allowance for real-time collaboration. Qlikview also allows you to search for the type of data results that you want and it immediately shows the relationships of the data. Pretty great feature when you want to know what you data means or has any hidden pattern that you should know. And It's free for personal use.

We utilize Qlikview reports on an almost daily basis here at the hospital. The Qlikview reports are used to analyze both realtime data (patients currently in the hospital, metrics, etc...), as well as utilized to retrospectively analyze last month or last years data - be it financial, clinical, timing, demographics, whatever. It is easily accessible by all of our staff leaders and getting everyone access is a rather painless process.

Sales and Customer service was good experience. Installation was easy enough and learning curve was varied based on background of resources using it, but overall was acceptable.
