What i like most about Radwares Cloud Application Protection Service is the combination of strong, intelligent security with ease of use. That behavioral-base threat detection and automated mitigation works extremely well, providing reliable protection without requiring constant manual tuning.
The system is relatively simple to set up, it gives relatively good protection, the GUI is nice.
The best feature is how much options you have to configure your applications, you can enable/disable each secure feature, and it's possible to enable only the secure features without the need to enable CDN and other caching features to be able to protect you application.
What I dislike most about Radwares Cloud Application Protection Service is that some advanced configuration options can feel a bit complex at first, especially when fine-tuning policies for specific applications. While the dashboard is generally clear, certain deeper analytics require switching between different views, which can slow down the workflow.
There are many user experience issues with the GUI. The system is comprised of various elements that were put together but the integration between them isn't smooth, so some features work in WAF but not in BOT. Some UX elements are so bad that they require a lot of tedious hand work. The system is missing a good user guide on demand. I wish for more granularity when it comes to setting up security rules, I want the same filter level in WAF and in BOT
1 - Support: For more than one time we call the support for assistance but all the team was already busy and couldn't take our case at the moment. 2 - Performance: The console has some performance issues, every change you make to your application take many minutes to be fully applied, this is something that can impact the time to solve any critical issue. 3 - Administration: There's some features within the console backend that only hardware engineers can edit, because of that, many time you're required to contact the support team for assistence, so, you do not have full control of the tool. 4 - IAM: The product lacks granularity in permissioning, example: You are unable to give someone read-only access to DNS module.
