What has worked well is Rivermate's responsiveness and clarity. Payroll and compliance are handled seamlessly and the documentation process is very simple. The support team is proactive and friendly.
Their platform is really good. They are prompt in communication and send payslips without asking. Their retirement savings plan is pretty good too.
- Payslips have always been on a similar schedule with no surprises. - Questions are promptly answered. - Overall experience using the product is smooth.
Overall my experience has been very positive, but there are a few areas that could be improved: - Some processes, such as obtaining certain documents or clarifications, can occasionally take longer than expected. - Certain HR or payroll explanations could sometimes be more detailed, especially for people unfamiliar with local regulations.
It is manageable, but not the most straightforward.
- There is no way to track how many personal/annual leave days I have remaining. This was especially confusing when I started on a new contract, and had fractions of a day to take into account. I currently track this through descriptions, which feels like a misuse of the field. - The product isn't mobile-friendly, as most content is not visible on a small device. Without access to a desktop or l- aptop, the only current work-around seems to be requesting the desktop site on a mobile device. - Minor nitpick, but I favour dark mode in programs that support it. The times I access Rivermate are usually in the evening, and a dark mode would be better on the eyes.

I am overall satisfied with the services offered by Rivermate. However, compared to the contrat I received from my previous two payroll companies, the health insurance and contractual obligations are less favourable. The coverage is much lower and they didn't recognise the time I've worked with my employer before my contract started with them.
