I have been using SAP build process automation since 2022 when it was Intelligent Robotic Process Automation (IRPA), I have seen it evolve so much. Many features that were custom are now built inside the tool. The agent has also been upgraded a lot and now configuring and using Build automation is easy as you don't have to manually create agent groups and assignments

The ease of use and learning to do all the automation with drag and drop and minimum coding. The formula option is very good as it gives you the syntax for most of the logic. The diagram flow starting from start to end logic and debugging the flow is very easy and self-explanatory

- Easy setup - Easy usage for basic things

SAP Build Process Automation helps to reduce manual effort and human error by automating repetitive tasks. SAP Build Process provides clear visibility into workflows, improving accuracy, efficiency and usefulness for decision making. The drag and drop process makes it easier for users to build automation without any other IT support team dependency.

Sometimes the input and output field parameters can behave weirdly like even after assigning the values to the parameters when we come back at later stage to reference it the values are no longer visible and i have to re do the entire process again

- There is no personalization for emails. You can send them only with plain text - Not that great overview for created projects. A folder structure would be great, so that a sap build apps app is placed in the same folder like the corresponding backend or process automation

Some complexity in setup and maintenance. Other than that everything is good, nothing to dislike.

SAP Build Process Automation has been a strong addition to our digital-transformation toolkit, especially because how easily it connects with other SAP tools. It has helped us simplify and automate key business workflows without heavy IT involvement. Once you get used to the platform, it's quite powerful and stable. Having said that, sometimes it gets a bit difficult to integrate with outside the SAP integrations.
