Strategic Planning Workspace has become a critical Portfolio planning toolset with our senior leadership and C-suite. They are able to see the roadmap of demand pipeline and active projects. This helps with their critical decision making tasks as it impacts their strategic initiatives and goals.

Limited customization for reports. Occasional slow system performance. Steep learning curves in the initial phase.

Dashboards are not polished and have limited capabilities. Cannot integrate with PowerBI or other better alternatives easily. Not setup to do quarterly planning without having to customize to add fields like confidence votes, quarters, risks/dependencies for a work item in the backlog.

I wish their were more than 2 releases a year but I understand the need for testing.

    Overall, ServiceNow's Project Portfolio Management solution offers a great depth of modules to work with different processes. You also have the capability to select each module based on your organizational maturity. It's straightforward to work with and is pretty open to some configuration and customization, but within reason.
