SharePoint Offers Strong Collaboration But Can Improve With Speed at times & Access Management
I manage a newly created sharepoint drive for my team, which is shared with the wider team. It is one of the go to tools we use here in our organisation for daily collaboration. It has really good and seamless integration with other office apps, like powerpoint, word and excel. It can though feel heavy and slow at times, and mentions and giving access take some tuning to manage. Once set up properly though, it is a reliable workhorse. - Customer Service & Support Associate50M-1B USDHealthcare and BiotechReview Source
Strong collaboration features, but onboarding remains challenging for new staff
I have been using Microsoft Sharepoint since I started working about 8 years ago and I would say it is one of those skill-based tools out there. In the hands of a skilled and qualified team, Sharepoint can do wonders to boost up performance and collaboration within the team but on the other hand if your colleagues are not so familiar with Sharepoint; it can be quite a pain initiating and briefing them how wonderful it is since it's quite complicated for newbies. We use Sharepoint as our main Data Connector right now and it's truly remarkable how it enables and fosters collaboration between colleagues even if they're on the opposite sides of the globe. - SOFTWARE DEVELOPER50M-1B USDFinance (non-banking)Review Source
Efficient document collaboration balanced by a complex, cluttered interface
My overall experience has been positive. It’s a strong platform for document storage, sharing and team collaboration, especially when used along side of Microsoft tools. It helps helps keep information organised and accessible across Teams while it can take a bit of time to get used to and isn’t always the most intuitive. It’s generally reliable and effective for everyday use. - IT Associate1B-10B USDSoftwareReview Source
Copilot improves Sharepoint search, but legacy sharing issues persist
Sharepoint as a tool works fine and the search feature within it is mostly fine. Finding specific files or folders using the search was challenging, but with the introduction of Copilot 365, things have improved on that front. Copilot is able to find the sharepoint file, or even the teams message the said file was shared in. (Sharepoint is the backend for all storage within a 365 tenant). - SOFTWARE ENGINEER50M-1B USDSoftwareReview Source
SharePoint Streamlines team collaboration with Easy Sharing and Robust Version Control
SharePoint has honestly made working with the team feel way easier. Now that everything lives in one spot, I don't have to dig through emails to find right document or wonder if I've got the latest version. Sending out files is as simple as dropping someone a link and the built in version history has saved us more than a few times when someone accidentally overwrites something. It's just a smoother and more hassle-free way to handle project docs and reports. Setting up the right permissions is straight forward too. I like that I can make certain folders editable just for the QA team while sharing reports as read only for everyone else. And having all our company guidelines and policies there means I never have to chase down HR for details. Overall, SharePoint just helps us stay organized and keeps things moving, so we can actually focus on the real work instead of tracking down files.
