“Shopify Simplifies Ecommerce Setup But Has Limitations in Customisation Depth”
I do believe if you're building an ecommerce store and your budget permits, then Shopify is a no brainer. It gets the essentials right for setting up an online store. The storefront templates work well enough and the checkout process is solid. I've found that the app ecosystem fills in most of the gaps for features that aren't built in natively. You probably need to ask yourself if you really need a feature if it falls outside of that. Where it falls short is in customisation depth. When clients wanted specific workflows or data structures that didn't fit Shopify's model, we hit walls. The pricing also scales up quickly once you need features beyond the basics. Support was responsive for straightforward issues but struggled with technical edge cases.

“Affordability And Customization Limitations Noted Despite Shopify’s Strong Support”
Overall, my experience with shopify has been phenomenal. If you’re looking for an easy E-commerce setup, shopify is the move. The prices maybe inflated and affordability is an issue but the quality of service is unmatched. especially with their plugins and integrations. All in all, i definitely recommend this product for their customer support but their software is less customizable. There were times where I had to hire Shopify developers to customize a feature since they use a different language in their code. If anyone is looking to work with Shopify, I would suggest looking into their customizability options before purchasing.

Overall, Shopify has been an excellent platform for running and scaling our e-commerce operations. It is incredibly powerful, stable, and easy to manage day-to-day. The ecosystem around Shopify is one of its biggest strengths, particularly the huge range of apps and strong compatibility with third-party tools, which allows us to customise and expand functionality as we grow. The main drawback is cost. While the core platform is strong, additional functionality often requires paid apps or upgrades, which can add up quickly. Overall, I am very pleased with the wide range of services that Shopify offers and I would go to the extent of stating that this is probably the best beginner friendly e-commerce platform out there right now. I find their order tracking to be the simplest among other providers, and surprisingly it is very effective on doing that despite on how simple it is.
