I am revisiting our messaging retention thresholds more specifically for email (Google) and instant messaging (Slack). Was curious as to what is generally being used as the threshold for these 2 communications tools (i.e.; 30 days, 6 months, etc.)?

I also am curious what other organizations are doing on this front.  We had an event where legal had us put an indefinite hold on all messages (email, IM, etc) and now that has just become the standard.  Would like to compare what other organizations are doing and try to get us back to something that doesn't hold messages forever.

VP SALES OPERATIONS & ENABLEMENT
Does anyone have experience with Slack Sales Elevate or Slack AI?  If so, did you see any productivity improvements, specifically for Sales?   We are looking at Sales Elevate for a few specific use cases: (1) Deal Desk efficency improvements; (2) Summaries of changes made to opportunities for sales leaders; (3) Account planning (there are collaborative templates in Sales Elevate which you can configure to meet your org's needs).   We're also interested because it seems like an easy way to start using AI in a fairly low risk area.   For context, we use SFDC CRM already.

1. The GUI - Slack has one of the best User- friendly interfaces I've seen on a messaging app. It's very compact, lightweight, and well organized. 2. Integration with other Apps - Slack offers the option to integrate with other apps such as Google Calendar, drive, and Zoom. Now I never have to miss a meeting :-) 3. Mobile Platform - Slack has a mobile application that works just as well as the desktop wone. Simila features 4.File sharing - File sharing and attachments have never been easier as it the case with slack 5. Calling Feature - That's right, it has a call feature integrated right within the app ( for both audio and video ) 6. Notification system - It has a nice notification system. Never miss a message or a mention. You can also customize the type of notification you want to receive. you can even set the DND mode to turn off notifications 7. You can create drafts that you can send out later

- hard to customize to explicit company brands across the entire platform - When there is an error, it can be hard to troubleshoot from a IT point of view. - Doesn't have as many options for screen share / collaboration offers as other platforms
