It would be nice to have some built in integration with other tools to allow for alerting about upcoming license renewals. Any integration with paging services would be nice.
Snow is not always capable of discovering all of the used apps on the device so the data is not 100% clear. Some hardware information like the TPM module and bios version are not visible for Snow. Sometimes it's not possible to generate the needed reports in SNOW, it's easier to just export the raw data.
The learning curve is steep and you often need a dedicated, trained SAM manager to run it effectively.

Effective Software Asset Management with User-Friendly Snow License Manager Platform
I have used the Snow platform for many years. Snow License Manager is well regarded as a Software Asset Management tool, and the support and account teams have been very good and efficient. The Snow interface is user-friendly and intuitive, allowing the team to easily navigate through the platform. We have integrated the SAM tool into our CMDB platform to enhance and enrich the data. We have also introduced Automation Platform to re-harvest unused software and allow a user friendly store to request software. This streamlines the the processes and improves data accuracy for the organisation. While the platform requires initial investment the savings have outweighed the costs.
