When something happens, I just get an email or call as an alert and usually some suggestions on how to proceed.
I love that Managed Detection and Response teams are watching over us 24/7. We had a security incident that occurred over a long, holiday weekend before upgrading to MDR, and now we feel comfortable taking time off and knowing that we'll be protected when not monitoring things ourselves. Sophos does health checks with us periodically and makes sure that all of our computers have Sophos installed, our Health Status is good, and we are following best practices and recommended settings in our configuration.
Nothing as I said that we are now having a good night's sleep or over the weekend as we know that Sophos Cyber Security experts, analysts and threat hunters are monitoring our infrastructure in an Authorize mode, and the Managed risk is protecting the infrastructure from Internal as well as external attack surface management
If Sophos fails to see it, I would not be aware of something.
When an event happens and we review the case that is created, it's sometimes a little hard to tell what happened. There are not good descriptions of what the detected malware programs are, or what they do. We never have a clear picture of how the event was triggered, either. We don't know if a user opened an email attachment or clicked a link in their browser, or simply browsed to a malicious website that filled their screen with fake security warnings.

We have been well pleased with Sophos. We pay extra for the Managed Detection and Response coverage and it makes us feel secure to know that they are watching over us when we're on vacation, off for a few days, or away from the offices. Things that don't work for us: we see a lot of 'false-positive' events that are triggered by a legitimate piece of software updating itself, or a known .bat file running. We use Web Filtering to prevent access to some sites, streaming media, and chat sites at work, and each computer's Event Logs in Sophos are cluttered with 'warnings' where a user was just browsing the web or using Outlook, and their PC tried to contact Skype or Google Meet in the background. Many websites have videos embedded in them, so the page a user is viewing may be contacting YouTube, or others, and all of that is logged. Easy Management and Strong Ransomware Detection in Sophos MDR
Sophos MDR is a great product. I love how easy it is to manage and also I love how the licensing works for the product. The controls are very granular and can be setup differently for different users, groups and computers/devices. You can sync all of your active directory users and groups so that you have more control over which users cand which devices have more strict controls and it allows for website filtering and device control.
