“Simple Connectivity and Full-Screen Functions Noted as Splashtop Strengths”

5.0
Apr 6, 2026
I work for a small business that quickly transitioned to a remote platform during the pandemic, and is still offering partial remote work. Splashtop is the only platform that worked for me on a consistent basis. Our office primarily uses a competitor, but I had a bad experience with their connectivity and reliability. I am one of a few employees in the company that uses Splashtop. I like how simple it is to connect and use the remote functions, the full screen mode and hidden toolbars work far better than other platforms I've tried, and it really feels like I'm working on at the physical office most of the time. It is also very simple to connect on many different devices when working anywhere out of the office, not just remotely from home.

“Easy Multi-Desktop Access With Frequent Update and Launch Issues Across Platforms”

3.0
Apr 6, 2026
As a user, the interface is relatively easy to use. As a MacOS user, the application often does not automatically update, so I have to manually check for updates when encountering a connectivity issue. The streamer on my Windows computer (the one I remote access) often does not launch or does not keep me signed in when my computer updates, which puts me in a difficult position working remotely, as it requires either accessing the computer with a different remote streaming platform to launch the Splashtop streamer and sign in or having someone manually do it.

Splashtop Likes & Dislikes

Like

The full screen mode and being able to hide the toolbars, and not having them get in the way when rolling over portions of the screen are really great.

Like

I really love how easy it is to connect to computers, including the ability to connect to multiple desktops. The best feature is the ability to move documents quickly and efficiently via a separate window.

Like

The ability to access machines from multiple devices (iMac, MacBook, iPad, PC) seamlessly. Reliable and stable remote connections with good performance. Simple setup and easy ongoing use with unattended access. Convenient for supporting users across different organisations. Clean and straightforward interface that doesn't require any training for the users of the machines being connected to.

Dislike

There is not a quick way to remotely disconnect from a computer that is left with an active connection when moving between my home office and work location because I use the hidden screen function. It would be nice to have a way to manually disconnect without having to use my phone app.

Dislike

The biggest issue is the instability with the streamer launching on the remote desktop. We cannot figure out why this is an issue, as it does not correlate to any user settings that we can adjust.

Dislike

Multiple computers for the same user are not listed as separate devices Needing to re-authenticate with two factor authentication every time I use Splashtop on my iPad (mobile data) to connect to a machine - I wish it would register my MAC address as being authenticated instead of the IP address which keeps changing when using mobile data. It is very hard to get access to the full keyboard when connected to another machine via Splashtop on the iPad.

Splashtop enables easy multi-device remote access with minor device management limitations

    5.0
    Apr 6, 2026
I use Splashtop to manage and support around 10 computers across three different organisations, and overall it has been very reliable. It allows me to connect easily from multiple devices including my iMac, MacBook and iPad, which is extremely convenient for providing support both in the office, at home and while travelling with only an iPad. Performance is smooth and responsive and setup was straightforward. The main limitation I've encountered is with device identification - when the same user has multiple machines with Splashtop streamer installed, only one machine is available in the list to connect to which can make it difficult to connect to a specific computer when needed.

Remote Access Service Supports Complex Software Testing Across Multiple Apple Machines

    5.0
    Apr 7, 2026
I began using this service after moving remotely in my role after a cross country move. A portion of my role is very specific in that I need access to many different Apple machines running different OS versions in order to test our software. Part of testing the software also involves numerous SSDs and other storage devices. This led me to look for a tool that would allow me to remote into machines back at our home office across the country. Splashtop has allowed me to seamlessly continue in my role without any issues.

Convenient and stable remote server connection. Minor issues with periodic lags and occasional software shortcut conflicts

Setup and user interface are simple and friendly, but we never received a connection point at Splashtop to help solve our tech issues or answer questions directly.

Very simple setup and user functions are straightforward so that there is minimal training to utilize it. We do see problems where a PC will one day work fluidly and the next struggle to connect. This seemed to be persistent at some desktops but was never resolved, the work around was to just keep trying to connect till it worked. Which usually turned into transaction going onto wrong systems. But still, overall it is solid with minimal input needed.
