Simple Connectivity and Full-Screen Functions Noted as Splashtop Strengths
I work for a small business that quickly transitioned to a remote platform during the pandemic, and is still offering partial remote work. Splashtop is the only platform that worked for me on a consistent basis. Our office primarily uses a competitor, but I had a bad experience with their connectivity and reliability. I am one of a few employees in the company that uses Splashtop. I like how simple it is to connect and use the remote functions, the full screen mode and hidden toolbars work far better than other platforms I've tried, and it really feels like I'm working on at the physical office most of the time. It is also very simple to connect on many different devices when working anywhere out of the office, not just remotely from home. - Operations Associate<50M USDFinance (non-banking)Review Source
Splashtop enables easy multi-device remote access with minor device management limitations
I use Splashtop to manage and support around 10 computers across three different organisations, and overall it has been very reliable. It allows me to connect easily from multiple devices including my iMac, MacBook and iPad, which is extremely convenient for providing support both in the office, at home and while travelling with only an iPad. Performance is smooth and responsive and setup was straightforward. The main limitation I've encountered is with device identification - when the same user has multiple machines with Splashtop streamer installed, only one machine is available in the list to connect to which can make it difficult to connect to a specific computer when needed. - Marketing Associate<50M USDSoftwareReview Source
Remote Access Service Supports Complex Software Testing Across Multiple Apple Machines
I began using this service after moving remotely in my role after a cross country move. A portion of my role is very specific in that I need access to many different Apple machines running different OS versions in order to test our software. Part of testing the software also involves numerous SSDs and other storage devices. This led me to look for a tool that would allow me to remote into machines back at our home office across the country. Splashtop has allowed me to seamlessly continue in my role without any issues. - Director of Design<50M USDMediaReview Source
Convenient and stable remote server connection. Minor issues with periodic lags and occasional software shortcut conflicts
For the most part, the service works really well despite occasional lags and interruptions. - Director of Operations<50M USDServices (non-Government)Review Source
Setup and user interface are simple and friendly, but we never received a connection point at Splashtop to help solve our tech issues or answer questions directly.
Very simple setup and user functions are straightforward so that there is minimal training to utilize it. We do see problems where a PC will one day work fluidly and the next struggle to connect. This seemed to be persistent at some desktops but was never resolved, the work around was to just keep trying to connect till it worked. Which usually turned into transaction going onto wrong systems. But still, overall it is solid with minimal input needed.
