Squarespace Likes & Dislikes
Getting a basic site up and running is quick with Squarespace. I like using it with my clients to ensure I get a site created a few days after creating their brand.
I like that it's convenient to link to a Squarespace Domain and that they do have beautiful portfolio templates.
I like it's ease of us in terms of designing/creating the website with its drag and drop system, you need to worry about manual deployment of the site as the heavy lifting is taken care of, the cost is very affordable for what you pay for
There are several drawbacks to Squarespace. Some of the modules (blogs) still operate on 7.0. Design wise, there are blocks that just do not cut it in todays world and have stayed stagnant over the years. In addition, they have a tiered support system for affiliates now and it does not make sense to support admins differently.
Customer service sometimes takes days to respond to an inquiry which can really slow down the website building process
One thing that really stands out to me is the lack of complex functionality that can be included into your website, while I do understand it's meant for non technical people it would be nice to include customization options for more complex needs
