The data security features by StorSimple are amazing. Archiving, backup and recovery is easy. Automatic data tiering. Supports scaling and integration.
The best thing was how easy it was to offload data into Azure. Local performance was fine for our day-to-day, and then older or less-used files automatically tiered to the cloud. Disaster recovery was also way simpler - knowing backups were in Azure gave us peace of mind.
The product is cost effective, has a great hybrid functionality, and simplified management. The ease of use of the product is straightforward with a small learning curve. Automated compression and deduplication is one of the best features along with the cloud storage which is most suitable for hybrid working.
So far StorSimple has been smooth. No complaints.
The setup could be tricky at times, and it required more admin work than we expected. Sometimes we hit latency issues pulling data back from the cloud. And of course, since it's now discontinued, long-term support and migration options became a real headache.
The product is easy to use, the start up is however a bit complex. It could have more scalability, and some features could be modernized and or have more added to the program.
