What is Treasure Data CDP?

Treasure Data CDP is a software designed to unify and manage large volumes of customer data from multiple sources to create comprehensive customer profiles. Treasure Data CDP Pricing

Treasure Data CDP software uses a subscription-based pricing model which is typically structured according to data volume, number of customer profiles managed, and feature sets required. The software offers customizable packages depending on business needs, and pricing details are provided upon request or through consultation, with specific costs varying based on chosen configuration and usage levels.

“A backbone for turning customer data into action, with AI and journeys powering the next level of personalization.”

5.0
Oct 8, 2025
Treasure Data CDP has been instrumental in building our marketing and eCommerce foundation. We started from scratch and needed a platform that could unify first-party data across multiple brands, create a single customer view, and enable downstream activations. The platform has helped us standardize data ingestion across multiple SaaS sources, improve compliance with evolving privacy regulations, and activate audiences across multiple channels like email, paid media and personalization. Treasure Data has since evolved beyond a classic CDP into an Intelligent CDP that embeds models, AI agents, customer journeys, and orchestration as first-class features. These capabilities extend the platform from being a system of record into a system of action - helping us automate segmentation, accelerate campaign planning and scale more personalized consumer engagement. For example, AI-powered agents now allow marketers to explore audiences and generate campaign insights without relying on heavy engineering teams. The platform remains a powerful and strategic tool for marketing transformation, though as the feature set expands, so does the learning curve. Business users benefit most when paired with technical partners, and governance is key to maximizing trust in AI outputs. Overall, Treasure Data has provided both immediate marketing ROI and a long-term data foundation that supports our growth.

“Strong Segmentation Features But Limited Backend Clarity and Slow Technical Support”

Good for segmentation but the backend visibility is low, with support being slow and generally not solving issues without upselling solutions instead of fixing core issues

Treasure Data CDP Likes & Dislikes

Like

1. Unified Data with Seamless Connectors: Treasure Data brings together data from all the identified sources into a single customer profile and its out-of-the-box integrations make it seamless to activate that data into meaningful customer experiences across channels. 2. AI Agent Ecosystem & Gen AI Copilot - Ability to use pre-built AI agents (AI Agent Foundry) or plug-in our own ML models, all grounded in unified customer data. Natural language interfaces and AI copilots make audience exploration and content creation more accessible. 3. Customer Journey: Easy orchestration of cross-channel journeys with real-time triggers and AI-driven logic. 4. Zero-Copy Integrations: LiveConnect lets us work with data in Snowflake and other systems without duplication of the data. 5. Governance & Trust: Strong controls and compliance frameworks are built into the platform.

Like

Segmentation capability, ease of use for end users, Intuitive

Like

1. AI-Driven Capabilities: The platform has an extensive suite of AI agentic capabilities which allows us to realize operational efficiencies without extensive customization. 2. Customer Service: The support teams has been responsive and committed to resolving issues and answering questions throughout our engagement. 3. Executive Engagement: Leadership involvement has been exceptional, with senior leadership taking an active role in ensuring our needs are understood and addressed appropriately.

Dislike

1. Ease of Use for Non-Technical Users: While powerful, many workflows still require SQL or technical support, which makes it harder for purely business teams to be fully self-service. 2. Add-On Costs: Some of the most advanced features, like AI agents etc are offered as add-ons to the core platform. While this gives us the flexibility to adapt to what we need, it can make overall cost planning and budgeting more important as usage grows. 3. Documentation & Learning Curve: Documentation and best-practice guidance can be uneven, so teams often lean on professional services or implementation partners to accelerate adoption and get the most value.

Dislike

Technical Support is generally slow and unhelpful, hard to understand technical limitations and how to overcome them, Slow performance and unclear way to solve it

Dislike

1. Response Time: Turnaround time for clarifications and updates on submitted requests has been slower than expected, which can impact project timelines. 2. Professional Services/Consulting Expertise: The professional services and consulting services seems to have limited domain experts on staff to support and drive marketing related use cases, which can hinder their ability to provide strategic guidance and develop solutions aligned with marketing-specific requirements. 3. Testing Infrastructure: The absence of sandbox environments for third party integrations creates inefficiencies. For Example, our Adobe AEM/Target integration is requiring extensive back and forth because scripts cannot be tested on Treasure Data side before they send it to us for deployment. For a platform positioning itself as an enabler of realtime personalization, this capability gap is a significant limitation.

Strong CDP capabilities with fast time to value

Treasure Data has been a great partner not just from a technology standpoint but also from a consultative and partnership standpoint. They have taken a consultative approach to solve real probelms that the business is facing through customer data use cases. The platform allows to fast time to value for data use cases. Instead of solving identity, segmentation, activaiton separately. TD allows for solving all these data challenges at once to deliver value through use cases.

We are generally happy with TD. It has strong data management capabilities and generally is able to deliver on our use cases. There are certain limitations we have learned to live with or workaround that knock it down a star.
