    Task Assignment and Clarity Enhanced With Trello in the Design Team

    Introducing Trello in our Deisgn team was a real game changer! All the things we have to design are written down in seperate tasks and we can assign those tasks to responsible people. This way everyone knows exactly what they have to do in their capacity and you have a clear overview of the whole job that has to be done. Additionally, you can add due dates to tasks so that people responsible for the task know when the deadline is.

    I describe Trello as the voice inside your head behind all the big projects. It's a space that allows you to personally plan out what you've already got assigned in team-wide programs like Jira. I like it because it's quite fluid and allows me to organize my tasks in a way that makes sense to me.

instant status view across asynchronous team filtering to specific business lines, invoice numbers, or team members integration with Zapier to create new cards after website form fills

Trello is excellent with how campaigns, SOPs, and folders are structured - they can be easily tracked, retrieved, and its very collaborative. since its faily simple to use, we didnt have the challenge of complicated onboardings. Internally, we all knew that everything was there so nobody struggled with file sharing, retrieving what they needed. We seldom had storage problems as Trello can accommodate large swaths of boards.

Trello gives you a very clear overview of everything that has to be done within your team, and also per your team mate, therefore you can ensure that nobody would be overloaded with work.

limited bulk update functionality on free version no ability to copy card styles (labels/covers) limited two-way compatibility with Google Sheets without a power-up

The main reason we limited Trello to just knowledge base storage was because we didnt get any insight into employee analytics. We simply didnt know who's working on what, whats in progress, and couldn't get much transparency on employee productivity. New team members were endlessly adding boards which got convoluted, there was no relational logic or some kind of similar board exists built in. So as you can see, coordination and insight was a deep flaw. As the team grew bigger, we needed a structure that gave us insight in how employees handle tasks and projects, which Trello underperformed in.

Dislike

For now we haven't encountered any issues with Trello. Pricing is a bit high, but the tool is worth it.
