High-Performance SSL Inspection: Decrypting and scanning HTTPS traffic is a heavy lift, but IWSVA handles it with impressive efficiency. It allows you to maintain a strong security posture without creating a bottleneck for your users. Application-Level Filtering: It doesn't just block URL it understands web applications. You can create nuanced policies, such as allowing access to a site while blocking specific high-risk features within it Architectural Flexibility: Because it is a virtual appliance, it fits into your existing private cloud or on-premise infrastructure perfectly. This is a major win for organizations with strict data sovereignty requirements or complex internal network traffic.
We are happy with the scalability feature which is very much effective for business. Scanning other organization and outside email perfectly. Automatically sending to spam after scanning
I like this product because once it's setup it works without needing constant attention. I really appreciate that it quietly protects everything in the background while still keeping performance smooth.
The most significant drawback is the dated and cumbersome management interface, which lacks the intuitive flow of modern cloud consoles. As an on-premises appliance, it also carries a high maintenance tax, requiring manual OS patching and resource scaling that SaaS alternatives handle automatically. Additionally, the native reporting is too rigid for executive briefings, often necessitating external tools for data visualization. Finally, the aggressive nature of its heuristic scanning requires substantial initial tuning to avoid excessive false positives.
Very poor support from the technical support team. Price is not affordable and it is not reasonable as well. Not giving us enough knowledge about the implementation
What I dislike is that the interfaces feel a bit outdated. Some settings are harder to find than they should be, and advanced configurations can take time to understand. Documentation is helpful but sometimes too technical, so troubleshooting can feel a bit slow.
