I have been using the UiPath platform for the last 5 years and honestly, it's made a huge difference in how we handle automation across the board. The platform is intuitive enough that even non-technical folks can get comfortable with it fairly quickly, and it scales well as your needs grow. The platform works smoothly with the tools we already have, SAP's older legacy system and web-based apps.Document understanding has saved us hours of manual work every week. Whenever we ran into trouble, the community forums were surprisingly helpful.

Strong Integration capabilities: I have connected with SAP, web applications, Citrix, PDF and various API's without running into major issues. AI and Document Understanding: Document understanding is a real time-saver for us and helps process unstructured data with high accuracy.

I really like the validation station feature. It's very user-friendly and helps us double-check the data before it goes into our main system.

Frequent updates are a double-edged sword. While it's a great platform that keeps improving, those updates occasionally break package compatibility or create version conflicts. In a production environment, while debugging is not always straightforward, troubleshooting eats a lot of time. The licensing side of things can be really expensive for smaller teams or growing businesses, especially when scaling across multiple environments and bots.

I have tried to decentralize RPA, but it's really difficult since to build them you need a software development background, it takes a month of training, and you need to be continuously building to keep one's skillset honed. RDA on the other hand is great to democratize.

I would recommend RPA long term due to it's major reliance on the GUI. In theory you can MVP with RPA for a period of time until you have a more elegant solution leveraging for example an Azure pipeline that can trigger some of the actions needed on AD and other systems.
