What I like the most about this product is the easiness to access it, the multitude of documents it can process and the quality of the results.
It is reliable in turning unstructured documents into clean and usable data without much manual correction. It removes a lot of the clerical work.
The most i like is it does and excellent job of extacting sturctered data from unstructed documents. The accuracy for invoicnes, id's, and forms is quite strog once the model is trained porperly. another thing i woul say that it scales well for high volumes doucments processing with performace drops and the interagruion wirh otherss google cloud sservices is very smoth and makes automation easioer
One of the problems with Document AI is the price and the price options, not very flexible yet. Another weak point I would say is the ability to extract data accurately from different tables in pdf format. And one other weakness I would say is the image recognition power, not strong enough to recognize complex images. We don't rely on this feature too much, so we hope it will improve soon.
1. The setup and configuration can feel overwhelming. 2. Pricing can add up quickly when processing large volumes of PDFs, Excel documents, and so on. 3. Trying to optimize the process is more trial and error as there isn't a lot of guidance or best practices that are easy to find.
The setup is really difficult, in my opinion. In addition to the fact that custom model training takes time and requires clean labelled data, it can be costly when processing large volumes of documents on a regular basis and requires a solid understanding of APIs and cloud systems.
