I have been working with Cisco for roughly 5 years here at my org, they have been using Cisco for about 20 years at least. Overall we are pretty much a straight Cisco shop for everything except security so Switching, Wireless, Voice, etc. Our Account Team is great, really responsive - they get right on issues when we have them (which are few and far between) and provide rapid resolution when we need it. When we have new business initiatives/challenges that occur, we have a very consultative engagement with our account team and our 3rd party provider to discuss potential solutions/components as well as the deployment methodology. Overall, our experience with Cisco networking has been very positive. They've given us a stable, high-performance network foundation that largely just works once properly designed and implemented. Day to day operations are predictable and we've continued to see strong reliability with minimal downtime. On the positive side, the breadth of the Cisco portfolio lets us standardize knowledge and products across our data center, campus, and branch offices which simplifies support and training. The integration with Cisco's broad ecosystem has also helped us improve service delivery and adapt to changing business needs. Read all insights and reviews for Cisco Switches

I would think the biggest area of improvement for the switching would be to recreate the same web experience as is on VOSS and the older BOSS. Troubleshooting is sometimes a ton easier with a decent gui. Also, it would be great if Extreme would also allow temp licensing again. Sometimes trying to get renewals through purchasing can take a lot of time. Read all insights and reviews for ExtremeSwitching

The seamless integration with FortiGate via FortiLink is one of its strongest advantages, making centralized management and enforcement straightforward and efficient. It simplifies network admin, especially in environments that already use Fortinet products. The switch provides reliable performance, solid layer 2 functionality and adequate layer 3 features for most small to mid-sized deployments. Security features like 802.1x authentication, VLAN segmentation and port security are well implemented contributing to a more secure network infrastructure.Read all insights and reviews for FortiSwitch
