I can always get quick results to validate design ideas with real users. Sometimes when we have a short turn around, I can get more than 100 test results within one day. Set up is minimal and gathering feedback is fast. I also like that I can switch between quick surveys or moderated interviews. This works seamlessly with our current workflow - I can test early design options and validate final design using just one platform.
I love that I can speed up videos to watch them quicker - especially when you have dozens to review for a single test. I love that videos are exportable with clips to demonstrate the issues to stakeholders. I love that there is a rating system for each tester - sometimes there are some testers who are just speeding through tests quickly and the quality of some testers can be poor (I don't see that necessarily as the fault of usertesting.com so rating testers is really important to receive higher quality tests)
The demo reels, metrics tab, being able to download and share videos easily, and getting the right people in tests when we have a specific target audience.
Sometimes the participant pool can become a limitation depending on the country and screening criteria. We used to design for clients based in the US but now when we're tring to expand our business in some smaller markets we struggle to find the right users.
Integration with other platforms and tools like Dovetail. All these various testing and repository services are NOT interchangeable and have various strengths and weaknesses. I don't want a single universal tool, I need the RIGHT tool sets for the right jobs. UserTesting.com does a great job in its space, but those test results and learnings need to be gathered and displayed for stakeholders in a cohesive repository because UX needs to prove its value to leadership on a regular basis. If we don't actively demonstrate the monetary value of testing and discovery, budgets are cut and so are employees.
I dislike how follow up questions are handled where after you remove one you cant get it back without removing them all. It should be easy to just add one back. I also dislike the fact that I can't see test version history. Also how downhill the CommUnity has gone because I used to love it but now it gets virtually no engagement and is no longer the helpful collaborative resource it once was.
