Wix offers a lot of creative freedom, which is fantastic, but it also means that planning your layout thoughtfully upfront is important-especially to ensure consistency across desktop and mobile views.

Read Full ReviewAlthough it's easy to use compared to alternatives, it's still got a bit of a learning curve. The interface has a lot, I mean a lot of buttons and features, which can be annoying when all you need is the website builder, making it hard to find what you need. But once you get used to it, it's pretty good. Other than that I haven't encountered anything to complain about.

A Glimpse at Wix's Challenging Shifts and Unmet Promises
I first selected Wix because it was billed as being the easiest for a normal, non-expert to create a webpage that would pass muster as pretty professional. For a while it was that, but then became buggier and buggier, requiring more updates, more manual creations, a transition that was rocky as hell to a new platform, that basically required programming expertise to use - which defeats the point of using the service in the first place. Additionally, they spam you constantly with solicitations to upgrade your account, but then fail to deliver on the value promised, and even if you do buy it (as we did), there is no noticeable benefit.
