After upgrading to Workato ONE, I tested the agent features using some of the recipes we already had for ERP, purchasing, and IT workflows. Since we already had many recipes in Workato, it was useful to reuse existing automation logic instead of starting from scratch. One scenario I tested was a Slack-based agent for a database change review and approval process. The agent reviewed the change request and asked the team manager for approval before the change was made. This felt practical because our users already communicate through Slack. I also tested the MCP server with Claude. which is already used in our company. We used MCP to expose selected internal data managed by our team that was safe to share, so Claude could use it through Workato. Overall, Workato ONE helped us explore AI-related workflows while still using usr existing Workato setup.

Decent technology sold by an unscrupulous sales force that isn't afraid of using mob-like extortion tactics once they have their technology embedded in your organization. After using their technology at first haltingly, and with their encouragement and help turning it in to a key element of our corporate IT strategy... we were approached by a sales leader asking us to triple our expenditure or see our tech turned off, next week. Just like that. Plain and simple extortion. Needless to say our primary strategy now is moving away from their tech ASAP.
