I think that Workday Recruiting provides an amazing mobile experience which is important in this day and age. Second, Workday Recruiting is also very easy to configure, especially around setting up workflows and approvals from position requests, new job requisition requests and offer requests. Third, Workday Recruiting provides powerful tools to source and select candidates and provides deep and meaningful full talent acquisition analytics to ensure we have optimized our hiring process and are acquiring top talent.
I really like the dashboard, there is a lot of valuable information at the ready. In particular, as someone that manages people that use workday to hire I like to see the time to fill metric. I also appreciate the candidate pipelines.
The platform is easy to use for posting jobs and offers effective searching and filtering for positions across different locations. Its 24/7 web availability and seamless mobile access enable recruiters and stakeholders to manage applications on the go
Nothing. The Workday Recruiting module now includes some amazing new technologies that Workday has purchased and integrated into the Workday Recruiting suite including HiredScore and Paradox. Workday is still working to fully integrate these applications into their core application and with time that integration will continue to be stronger.
As I mentioned I think setting up a job req is not particularly easy. I don't create too many as I have staff for that but when I recently did I felt like the drop down menu's were cumbersome. I also found the onboarding tasks to not be very helpful, but that might be because of the way my organization set them up. I recently spent some time in the career hub and was very disappointed with it. One it does not seem to pull vital information about myself and from future job applications into the mentor and connection area. Also the Connection tab is not at all helpful. As a director at a university it should intuitively know that I don't need to connect with every TA on campus. When I do try to filter those roles it was almost impossible to drill down to a more appropriate level. For example, it knows I am a director why doesnt it suggest I connect with other directors? Seems like a simple request.
Some menus reflect a traditional design influenced by the legacy platform, which could benefit from updates to align with more modern design pattern and standards.

Workday Recruiting is at least 10 years behind the best ATS' out there
The recruiting module is at least 10 years behind any other dedicated ATS in the market. The positive reviews don't seem genuine, because it just doesn't operate as an effective ATS. It lacks even the simplest of features to make it effective. It's not innovative, it's clunky to navigate and as a recruiter or TA leader, you can't change or create anything without having to work through an admin. With regards to the candidate experience, that is poor too. At the very beginning of a candidate applying for a job, they have to create a WD account, and the rest of the process is clunky. Then if they were to apply to a job at two more companies who also use WD, they would have to create two more WD accounts!
