The best part about Zscaler is how unified the platform is, we get secure internet access, private app access, CASB and DLP in one service, policy management is consistent across all modules, and integration with identity providers like AD is straightforward,thecontinous SSL insepction and real-time threat prevention have noticeably improved our visibility and control
I like that it provides an always-on way for users to connect to local resources remotely.
The zero trust architecture is true ZT. Users don't just validate once, it constantly validates their access which is essential. The policy enforcement which is identify centric is excellent; it allows very granular access policies that are secure and fairly flexible.
Fragmented across multiple portals, and fine-grained policy control can sometimes feel cumbersome. Troubleshooting performance issues or log analysis isn't always straightforward, and support response times can vary by region
Integration with our IdP has been challenging. The API lacks some documentation.
The main issue is its lack of integration with other security products; specifically our firewalls. It cannot pass User ID data to the firewalls and everything originates from a NAT IP. This forces us to use two separate security policies; one for our firewalls and one for ZScaler. They need to be kept in sync and it is a hassle.
