The eprocurement suite works well due to the punchout catalogs. This helps drive spend to those specific suppliers we have setup.
The iRequest module is extremely useful for flipping end user requirements seamlessly into the respective downstream operations (i.e. sourcing events, supplier onboarding, and contracts). It helps to keep requests organized and visible to end users and power users alike, and it helps to eliminate duplicate data entry that often results from email requests. The iContract module is very advanced compared to other enterprise procurement SaaS tools. Our contract reviewers, including Legal, appreciate the ability to work directly through WordConnect, allowing them to complete their reviews without even needing to log in to Zycus. Additionally, the Merlin app helps to instantly analyze 3rd party paper and assess the risk relative to our own contract templates and desired terms, saving precious time for our Legal team. The training content is excellent. There is a robust catalog of easy to follow how-to guides as well as quick videos that are embedded and easily accessible within the product itself.
Incident resolution can be slow: Some support takes longer than expected and may be closed before confirming full resolution Limited internal autonomy: Certain configurations (roles, views, workflows) require direct involvement from Zycus, limiting internal flexibility Sensitive technical dependencies: Some infrastructure changes can temporarily affect data loads of approval flows, requiring extra monitoring.
The Modules are all separate and do not talk well to each other. The data which was implemented into the system is old and it is hard to cleanse and keep updated.
The administrative maintenance is a little more complex compared to other enterprise procurement SaaS tools. Workflow changes require significant time and expertise. The supplier onboarding module isn't quite as flexible as we would like. There are certain workflow requirements that are native to the product and cannot be adjusted. Although there is great inter-module connectivity to flip from one activity to the next, there are still gaps and instances of fields that will not flow from one module to the next, requiring duplicate data entry.
