We've been using Alfabet for just over two years. As an EA team of one, and new to the discipline, I needed a tool that was easy enough to get going with, but flexible enough to adapt to our growing needs. The support has been excellent. They are very knowledgeable about EA in general, and not just the ins and outs of the tool. Combined, this has really helped develop and mature our approach to EA.

Reliance on support for building custom reports (possibly due to my lack of knowledge of the database and SQL in general) UI/UX. outdated and lacks modern intuitiveness (this is a hurdle for adoption by new users, however the UI is getting a major overhaul which looks bang-up-to-date, which is really welcome)

Our journey with Alfabet supporting our EAM and enterprise solution architecture management has been a slow but successful adoption of both 'out of the box' Accelerator features and additional customizations needed to meet our company's specific needs. The maturity and depth of available capability in Alfabet enables us to automate much of the 'busy work' of EA, thereby enabling our EAs to spend more time with their IT and business partners to guide and influence alignment of strategy to roadmap to (solution) delivery. Our integration with ServiceNow APM (current state) and PPM (portfolio/program/project) modules have enabled us to seamlessly extend/connect master planning to solution planning/delivery. Using Confluence integration, we are able to communicate strategies, master plans, and solution intents to our IT and business stakeholders quite effectively. Lastly, we are a SaaS client and have been able to leverage and grow (even customize) our Alfabet experience without the need to bring it on-premise. Great product, provide complete insight for decision making and planning at all levels
Data modelling, reporting and decision analysis capabilities are strong and comprehensive. ALFABET covers all areas of architecture and can achieve complete picture of application landscape from all required viewpoints. Business architecture, value-stream capabilities can be very helpful tool for business planning. Reporting capabilities, including recently improved dashboards can provide the required insight to IT & business decision makers. Overall the product is very useful for the purpose it serves.
