I can organize my studies through Brightspace by uploading videos along with presentations and assignment material and online discussions. Prompted by thoughtful forum design in Brightspace, students can interact through discussion spaces.
Brightspace is packed with features ranging from simple content development resources to assessment mechanisms. This wide range of features first impressed me as I needed a simple setup of all my courses and had a number of options for engaging students.
The Brightspace system serves as a unified environment for the administration of complete online course management. The extensive list of features initially drew my attention because it allowed us to operate with one LMS instead of needing multiple ones.
Many critical functions available on the desktop interface are absent from Brightspace. It frustrates me to stay currently updated on my coursework because both discussions and quizzes remain unavailable on the app.
Locating certain functions I need for use in the platform consumes a lot of time though the general interface is easy to understand. There is often a lot information in the interface and this hinders students ability to concentrate on the major learning contents.
The extensive layout of Brightspace exceeds the comprehension levels of both instructors and students. Navigating through Brightspace presents a challenging learning process and many features produce a cumbersome user experience.
