What I love most about Canva is how incredibly easy it is to bring ideas to life. The templates are modern and thoughtfully designed which cuts my design time in half. Their drag and drop feature feels effortless, and the brand kit feature has been a game changer! I also enjoy how collaborative Canva is, being able to share designs, leave comments, and work together with teammates in real time makes everyhting so much smoother. Now that they have integrated the AI assited tools it shows that the plateform keeps evolving with what people need.
Limited video editing capabilities: the video editor works well for basic use, but it lacks depth in terms of layering, timeline control and precision editing. For more detailed or high-production videos, it can feel restrictive. Performance with heavy files: Larger designs or projects with multiple layers and elements can sometimes lag, especially hen working collaboratively. Cloud dependency and downtime risk: Since it's fully cloud based, any server issues or connectivity problem can temporarily block access, which can disrupt workflows during time-sensitive campaigns. Lack of design differentiation: Due to widespread usage and templates accessibility, designs can sometimes start to look similar across brands unless additional effort is put into customization.
Too many templates, allows you to begin too many products by ipening excessive windows and then you need to go back and collapse them, hoping you remember which one you used.
Canva simplicity is great, but sometimes it oversimplifies things. When I am trying to make detailed adjustments like aligning elements pixel perfect or controlling animations - I feel like I am fighting the tool a little. Working on a long presentation with many images and charts, the editor occasionally slows down a lit.
