I am using Claude Sonnet 4.5 to perform code reviews as well as a tool to perform hands-on analysis of running systems, which gives me a far better position to manage multiple devops teams. I also use Claude to set up demos and learn about new concepts, which provides me a far better learning experience working hands-on with a system.

My experience with Claude has been underwhelming: while the initial promise of a sophisticated AI assistant was high, the practical application felt restrictive and often inconsistent. I frequently struggled to maintain the flow of complex tasks, leading to more time spent correcting the AI than completing my work. For a tool meant to boost productivity, it felt like an extra hurdle.

The reasoning capabilities when loading code repos and input for analysis, I am able to very efficiently drill-down on issues and find measures. This helps me communicate with lead developers.

From the beginning I was impressed about the power of the software, and how you can use it step by step, guiding it until you get the right result. Is amazing!

Overly long responses repeating the same outcome in slightly different wording, I would prefer tighter answers faster and drill-down if I need to. Too high confidence level on areas with low documentation or context, I would prefer a more transparent view on results, and not statements like this is a very common problem in topic X when the domain problem I am working on has very little recent documentation. Lack of multi-modal capabilities is sometimes an issue when my sources have a lot of technical documentation. Scaffolding new projects with old libs sometimes requires clean-up activities.

Rich safety guardrails Hallucination Performance and incossitancy

One weakness I found working with Claude is the length of the prompts it accepts, sometimes you have to be very specific with your message, probably the active window used for reading prompts is not large enough. I am pretty sure that these issues will be solved soon.
