From my experience as a Cohesity DataProtect user and administrator, I can say that it has established itself as a reliable and efficient data backup solution, robust and efficient for data protection in Microsoft 365 environments. Its implementation has been key to information security on platforms such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Azure Active Directory. One of the most notable aspects is its clear and intuitive interface, which allows centralized backup management, making them easy to administer. The system offers a very clear view of backup status, allows you to configure custom retention policies, and has flexible granular recovery options. The native integration with Microsoft 365 is excellent. In our case, we used the solution to back up: Exchange Online user accounts and mailboxes, OneDrive, SharePoint sites, and Microsoft 365 groups. It also has auditing and traceability options that meet the standards required by security and compliance regulations, which is vital for corporate environments. Cohesity DataProtect has provided us with a scalable, secure, and easy-to-manage solution to protect our data in the Microsoft cloud.

Exploring the Challenges and Triumphs of DataProtect's On-Premise and SaaS Versions
We have on-premise and SaaS versions of the DataProtect product. We had a few different issues occur for the on-premise version that their support wasn't really helpful with and took months to resolve. We also uncovered a security issue that they quickly patched.
