Apttus is a great solution that has been great in making Salesforce more organized and providing formalize built in process to make sure that during the flow of a deal, that the contracting management, negotiation process does not get out of hand. The automation for generating contracts, and then the automated approval process ensures no contracts are sent out without approval from all necessary parties.

The tool for contract management is good but I feel there is lot to focus and improve, Most of the managed code is hidden and we have to depend on the customer support team if there is any new issue.I have been using Apttus CLM since 5 years and I have seen really good features of it and at the same time I am not satisfied for certain things in it.

I love how intuitive the contact lifecycle is. It's great for sales professionals to generate agreements to send out to customers, and then upload redlines, and have legal review, upload and notify the business when contracts are reviewed, finalized and approved for signature.

The service is ok, I like automatic approvals and the customization that I can do it the approval steps and rules scope but at the same time the integrations should be plain and visible which is missing in here. The view is basic- would like to see more customized view like other installed packages on Salesforce.

The integration of Apttus CLM with Salesforce is smooth. The Apttus documentation on their website gives all the necessary steps. Once installed in Salesforce the Apttus objects and code help to automate the management of contracts systematically. The status of the contracts is mapped effectively making it quite clear for the sales team to make changes abd take necessary actions

Dislike

The only thing I don't really like is the upload process. It seems like to many buttons and confirmations just to upload a simple document.

The view and feel of the application is basic-can be improved like other installed packages in salesforce. There are some issue with email services and merged fields in managed components that area should be focused as that is the most important part and is visible to high end users of any organisation when the record goes out for approval.

The Apttus license is a bit expensive and is mandatory in order to use the system

    Configuration is easy, but vendor support is not good

    We used Apttus CLM for our legal team to create and manage agreement/contract records in Salesforce. We also used advanced approval process which can be configured depends on our needs.
