Conga is a B2B software solution provide whose contract lifecycle management (CLM); configure, price, and quote (CPQ); document generation; electronic signature; subscription management; and other associated solutions drive predictable revenue by aligning processes, teams, and technology under a unified data model throughout the revenue management lifecycle. Conga is the aggregate of two SaaS providers, Conga and Apttus. Conga was originally founded to prove what was possible in the space of digital documentation, while Apttus was an innovator in quote-to-cash (QTC) solutions. On May 7, 2020, the companies merged with the goal to provide a comprehensive solution offering to manage the revenue lifecycle. Today, Conga’s global operations span North America, Europe, and Asia.

Conga CPQ bringsstructure and governance to the quoting process, which is critical for our organization with complex pricing models. We use CPQ, CLM and Docusign integration products in our organization mostly. Conga/Apttus CPQ is highly configurable and allows us to adapt the s/w to their unique product offerings and sales process. The platform effectively enforces business rules, ensuring the sales team stays compliant without slowing down deal velocity. From a consulting standpoint, it offers deep configurability that allows solutions to be tailored closely to real business scenarios. Conga CPQ significantly improves quote accuracy and reduces dependency on manual interventions. Once optimized, it is a real backbone for scalable and repeatable sales operations.We like the available user manuals to gain knowledge on the products and Conga university allows us to acquire on the products. Our sales process has been improved with the enhanced proposal management. Conga has good customer support and developer resources to assist us in implementing our business requirements.

We like the user-friendly interface and intuitive design of Conga CPQ. It often integrates seamlessly with existing systems, making it easier for sales reps and TMs to adopt and utilize the tool effectively. The new Headless API approach that Conga Platform provides is very useful. Conga CPQ offers a high level of customization with APIs, allowing businesses to adapt and modify the platform to their specific needs. This flexibility enables users to create custom quotes and proposals with ease. The automation features in Conga CPQ can significantly speed up the quote generation process. This efficiency leads to quicker response times for customers and a more streamlined sales cycle.
The biggest challenge with Conga CPQ is the complexity of the initial setup and ongoing maintenance. Configuring pricing rules, product constraints and approval processes requires strong technical expertise and even small changes can have downstream impacts if not handled carefully. Performance can also be affected in highly complex configurations and we often land on Too many SOQL errors. Troubleshooting issues is not always straight forward due to limited debugging visibility and the errors are too generic we cannot easily identify them. If there are few integration limitations for such requirements we have to reach out to other third-party systems available in the market.
Support teams are not equipped with enough access to the code, this results in spending a lot of time with the initial level support to escalate many issues which consumes both energy and time. At times they are helpful but at times we wont get the needed help until we struggle and reach out to the top layers
UI issues - New Platform is good from the backend functionality perspective but there UI changes that need to be done for a good User experience! Some users have reported that it can be a bit time consuming when first implementing Conga CPQ. The configurations and features might take some time for new users to fully learn and use them effectively. As with many enterprise-level software solutions, the cost of implementing and maintaining Conga CPQ is too high for smaller businesses or startups. It is important to evaluate the return on investment and benefits the tool brings to your organization. While Conga CPQ offers integration with many CRM and ERP systems, some users have encountered problems with specific integrations or have expressed a desire for broader integration options.

Our experience so far with Conga CPQ has been very positive and helpful. It has helped us commercialize orthodontic services faster using strong managed capabilities, especially Conga APIs and pricing rules. It has helped us to achieve business requirements very smoothly. Quote generation functionality is also quite useful. Recently Conga introduced their own platform which is an API driven Headless approach which is going to help us greatly since it will allow us to customize our own UI which will provide a seamless and faster ecperieince for our sales reps and customers. It helps us overcome the limitations. Overall solution is easy to use, highly configurable, and efficient for quote generation. A powerful and secure CPQ solution for the most sophisticated enterprise environments
Our overall experience has been a bit of a roller coaster ride on Conga CPQ. It has definitely added structure to calculating quotes in our case since we are a large business, which has complex product pricing. It has avoided some checks that earlier had to be done manually. At the same time, it is not plug-and-play. Value required significant up-front setup and continued administrative work. Several processes can be difficult to navigate, among other issues that may not always make the platform user friendly unless your team is well equipped with understanding its various features and saw it being used in a variety of work environments. At times this has resulted in a less responsive interface. That being said, once processes are fully defined and were stabilized, Conga CPQ was reliable, and met our needs "at scale". It's a great CPQ solution, but can require ongoing management and effort to keep it that way.
