It was a little over whelming to learn at the start since there is so much, but with the support of the Sophus team and a few days of practice, the learning curve shrinks quickly. The software does not rely on the user to have any pre-existing technical knowledge, so it can be learned by anybody. On the flip side, the software does have some features that allow those with a technical background to utilize their knowledge. For example, it supports the use of SQL when looking at output data from a model.

The AIMMS team was very responsive when answering our questions and throughout my time working with them, I felt that they were strongly invested in my success as a user of the product. They were very knowledgeable on the tool and brought in subject-matter experts from their team when necessary.

We've used FICO Xpress Optimization to solve some advanced optimization problems in the transportation industry. We loved how easy it was to learn the Mosel programming language that is used to write code in FICO Xpress and get the solutions - it was very easy for us to translate the mathematical constraint inequalities we formulated to the Mosel programming language.
