Coursera Likes & Dislikes
The biggest strength lies in the high quality and amount of courses that it offers. It has courses for all grade types and has good tie-ups with leading recognised universities and industry partners. The platform offers learning tracks, dashboards and checkpoints which makes easy to track the learning progress. The last notable point is that this course can be accessed via mobile device and with its leading customer support and ease of deployment at large scale is a standout feature.
Vast library, many options for subject matter. Ease of use for end user. Competitive pricing model.
1. The range of videos and courses that exist on the platform is incredibly impressive. I was able to search through a catalog of training courses and select the one that best fit my needs. 2. I appreciate that the learning is done asynchronously, providing me with the flexibility I need to move through the training at my own pace and on a schedule that is most convenient to me. 3. If I ever had a follow up question about a topic that was covered in the training video, I could consult the community discussion forums to solicit advice/support from other Coursera users. This was incredibly beneficial to my learning and development!
Content localisation- The majority of the course is in English with limited options for local languages eg French, Spain which can affect adoption from our resources. Secondly, reporting depth could be improved better to get more deeper analytics to measure the learning outcomes. Thirdly, Pricing can be improvised as this a pure license or per user subscription which can be difficult to implement in small organisation or a business unit.
Lack of content curation needs a better filter for content developers. License restrictions and limited reasons to reassign license. lack of control over objectionable content.
1. I would take the ratings of different courses with a grain of salt, because not every review is reflective (both good or bad) of the course that you might decide to take. 2. I wish that there was a tool/feature within Coursera that held me accountable to completing the training course in a more time-bound way. I was very flexible with my schedule and went through one of the trainings in almost 6 months, which wasn't the most efficient use of my time. I hope that the platform offers built-in reminders to complete the course, ensuring that it is done in a timely fashion. 3. Although I received a PMP through the PMI network, I never received a certificate of completion for the prep course that I took through Coursera. It would be nice to be able to promote the completion of the course on my LinkedIn to highlight the new skills and knowledge that I have acquired.

My overall experience with Coursera has been excellent. The platform offers access to high quality courses from top universities and industry leaders. The content is consistently well structured and engaging. The flexibility to learn at my own pace has been especially valuable.
