D&B Hoovers is a great resource to use when researching potential clients (companies) but it did take awhile and a lot of back and forth communication to set up my account within my office's software platform.

It's a decent resource for contact and company information but honestly well behind others in terms of quality and upkeep. The basic search is pretty good, if a little picky on spelling . The advanced search offers a good range of functions, in some cases more than competitors, but is a bit clunky and slow when running. All in all, it's a fine add-on to other systems but not really robust enough on its own for my needs.

    The leadership info if it is there is usually not accurate. Same for sales for alot.

Like

I like the intergration and ease of use within Salesforce and the data it provides to help me fill out missing information for my work.

Like

- The advanced search for contacts and companies provides a lot of filter options - It's easy to see whether someone or some business exists in their database with the autofill answers in basic search - The company information is decently in depth

Like

Level of detail provided and the ability to identify specific contacts based on title and roles.

Dislike

I don't like that I can only access it within Salesforce, and it logs me out frequently. Sometimes it'd be easier if I could just open a new D&B webpage instead of going through Salesforce. However, that might just be the option my company selected so maybe that's not a D&B issue.

Dislike

The service (at least when not at a large enterprise scale, I can't speak to that) leaves a lot to be desired. We had to reach out over and over and over just to get them to renew our contract after it lapsed without notification.

Dislike

There are minor errors found with company listings and duplicates, and they could sync up company data better with their other databases. But I've not found a solution as effective and affordable.
