What is eGain AI Knowledge Hub?

eGain AI-Powered Knowledge Management Platform helps enterprises deliver trusted, consistent answers across every customer service channel and AI workflow. The platform consists of three integrated products: AI Knowledge Hub, a governed knowledge foundation ensuring agents, bots, and AI systems access accurate, compliant, and current information; AI Agent, a conversational AI solution for autonomous self-service and agent-assisted interactions, combining deterministic reasoning with generative AI for assured, compliant answers; and Composer, a full-stack developer platform with APIs, SDKs, and MCP servers enabling enterprises to build customized AI applications on a trusted knowledge foundation. Together, they address the core challenge facing AI deployments in customer service: the need for a reliable, governed knowledge layer that eliminates inconsistent guidance, reduces compliance risk, and ensures AI agents and human agents perform accurately across every interaction.

eGain AI Knowledge Hub Pricing

eGain offers two pricing tracks. Outcome-Based Pricing aligns cost to value delivered: resolution-based pricing for AI Agent and consumption-based pricing for API calls. Access-Based Pricing aligns cost to platform availability: named user pricing for agent-facing apps and session-based pricing for self-service. Composer developer capabilities are included at no extra cost, priced on production app access and outcomes. Discounts available based on volume, contract term, and payment schedule.

Our overall experience with eGain AI Knowledge Hub has been very positive. We use it as our internal associate knowledge management system and also host two external-facing knowledge hubs. eGain has helped us to centralize our knowledge management, implement strong content governance, and improve self-service support for both internal and external customers.

(1) Multi-audience support from one platform provides one consolidated platform, supporting scalability and governance. (2) Centralized content management and governance with publishing controls and content organization has allowed us to reduce inconsistencies. (3) AI-powered search means customers find what they are looking for fast and search becomes more effective over time.

Some of my favorite features include the ability to preview articles, enhanced searchability through keywords, and the ability to work seamlessly with multiple tabs open at once. Our Customer Success Manager is also attentive to our needs and always willing to support us.

Like

The ability to require agents to comply with new or changed knowledge, acknowledging that they have understood our company changes. Allowing agents to feel more involved with knowledge content by easily submitting suggestions. And the exciting advancements in AI and automated features eGain continuously looks to implement and improve.

Dislike

There could be more intuitive reporting out of the box, or an easier way to customize reporting. There are some platform limitations on simple things like a rotating banner ad in the knowledge hub. Pricing structures feel overly complicated.

There isn't anything I currently dislike about the platform. My hope is for continued enhancements and feature upgrades as eGain evolves.

There have been a few technical hiccups and product limitations along the way, but eGain works to understand our needs and continuously puts forth efforts to provide solutions. My only dislike is the turnaround time on implementing customization or enhancements, but product engineering and accuracy takes time
