Element is a very secure and convenient communication and collaboration software. It has helped us boost teamwork and productivity and is easy to use too.

The core technology behind Element, the MATRIX protocol, is excellent. However, the commercial company has made anti-customer choices and raised prices significantly, all without delivering any additional features or real value (they removed the ability to host your own instance with the enterprise plan and force you to use their servers at a much steeper cost). There has been no account management follow up. Onboarding is non-existent. Support is responsive over email.
