One of the aspects we appreciate most about eSentire's service is the exceptionally low false positive rate. Alerts are highly accurate, which means our team only receives notifications when there is a genuine security event requiring our attention. This precision allows us to focus our resources on real threats without being distracted by unnecessary alerts, improving both efficiency and response time. The reliability of the alerts gives us confidence in the monitoring system and ensures that critical incidents are addressed promptly, which is invaluable in maintaining a strong cyber security posture.
The network sensors, sumo logic SIEM, and their business review meetings are wonderful. The portal for their service is quite interesting and very intuitive.
For me, the 24x7 ESOC monitoring service is hands down the most valuable. I like how I can be contacted at anytime during the night or day once any suspicious lateral movement is detected in our environment.
Honestly, there is very little to dislike about eSentire's service. Our experience has been overwhelmingly positive, and we have built a strong, collaborative working relationship with their team over the years. They have consistently been there for us during critical security incidents, providing expert guidance and support whenever needed. Their professionalism, responsiveness, and deep expertise make them an exceptional partner, and we truly value the trust and reliability they bring to our cybersecurity operations.
Lack of communication from the SOC, arbitrary flagging and labeling of various malwares discovered via their integration with our endpoint protection as false positive or other mis-labeling, painfully slow turn-around time for tickets and requests.
There is nothing really to dislike, as that is a strong word, however the area of improvement I can recommend is where they can introduce Managed Vulnerability Detection and Response services which is different from Managing threats detected. They can package this on top of an MDR service where the tools that are on hand can detect missing patches or find the most vulnerable assets in our environment, and ESentire can have a dedicated team similar to their ESOC who can attend to those vulnerabilities and patch or mitigate them for us.

Pretty much everything we have done to implement ESentire's MDR service in our environment has gone well.
