Ease of setup, ease of use and overall integration with Google/Phone services, enabling the team to become highly productive, using 1 tool for contact/alls/chat.
Read Full ReviewIt works well with other Google tools like Gmail, Drive and meet. I can quickly chat with teammates, share files or start a video call without any trouble. It also keeps group conversations organized, which makes it easier to follow what's going on.
Read Full ReviewIntegration with our 3rd party Telco presented a lot of issues, some of which were down to the 3rd party provider having no links into the Google platform that were usable. Time was an issue as the 3rd Party Telco took time to bring a suitable product that we could link our Google Tenant to for telecommunications. Great prodcut when it arrived,3 months after we were expecting it.
Read Full ReviewOne thing I don't like so much is the lack of clarity around threads. So, conversations can sometimes feel a bit disjointed, especially in group chats. If someone replies in a thread, it can be easy to miss. I would say it does not feel like the most flexible tool.
Read Full ReviewIt is missing support for tools like Github or Jira, you need to setup them manually. Also, message formatting is very basic, which makes it hard to share code, logs or detailed updates in a clean and simple way.

Initial Configuration Issues Impacted Integration With Third Party Telco Providers
Overall the platform/product has worked really well, after the initial issues with our current Comms provider/local number provider had some initial configuration issues. - MANAGER OF IT SERVICES50M-1B USDReal EstateReview Source
Efficient Internal Communication Yet Formatting And Integration With Dev Tools Are Limited
The UX is clean, lightweight and tightly integrated with the rest of the Google workspace and that makes switching between chat, Meet, Docs and Drive seamless. The platform supports fast context switching between text, video and file sharing, making it especially effective for distributed teams and remote workflows. For day-to-day internal coordination, it gets the job done without getting in the way. - System Analyst50M-1B USDIT ServicesReview Source
Limited Third-Party Integration but Effective Team Communication in Google Chat Workspace
My interaction with Google Chat has been exemplary, more so in the context of unified communications. The software plays a crucial role as the central hub for team collaboration, task tracking and file sharing. Google Chat allows for seamless real-time communication by supporting threaded conversations, document sharing, and role assigning in just one platform. - Line Maintenance Technician1B-10B USDServices (non-Government)Review Source
Google Chat Simplifies Communication but Search Functionality Remains a Drawback
My encounter with Google Chat as a form of unified communication has been resourceful and efficient. The software efficiently integrates with other Google products including Gmail, Google Meet, and Calendar, among others. Google Chat supports formal conversational threads and content sharing, which makes it appropriate for formal and informal engagement. - Analyst<50M USDServices (non-Government)Review Source
Great for quick communication, but limited on advance features
I have been using Google Chat for work and it does the job pretty well. The integration with Gmail and Drive makes it super convenient to share files and set up meetings. It's simple and doesn't feel too heavy, which I like.
