It's great in platform chat feature while using gmail. I am not switching platforms to continue to communicate with the team.
Slick interface definitely! User experience is definitely thought of. Also looks prettier overall compared to the competitors.
Seamless integration with Google Workspace. A user-friendly platform, great and effective communication with the teams and organization and the mobility capacity since is available in android and iOS.
Sometimes I feel like the notifications can get buried or be inconsistent. And pretty clunky when trying to bring in external non Google accounts.
We are having an issue with images sent through G-Chat cannot be previewed. This is unsolved for a while. Also integration to Google Calendar and Meet are slower than expected.
Inconsistent notifications since it creates a delay in communication and the limited file sharing capabilities.

Google Chat's Simplistic Integration into Google Environment
Google Chat has been used in our organization as a secondary chat option. Being integrated in the Google environment, taking it into use was very simple, as it came along with the rest of the Google products. Switching between Google Chat, Gmail, Meet and Huddles works seamlessly. Dividing the sections into direct messages and group chats works well. Google Chat follows the simplistic and intuitive layout of the product family. There are not much extra features compared to competition, but all the basics are there. One annoyance for me is the small size of the presence icon. The GIF section is quite unnecessary in work-related conversation. It would be nice to have more text formatting options.
