1. I absolutely love that Greenhouse provides hiring rubrics and other templates to improve efficiency and make my work so much easier! 2. The dashboards that Greenhouse creates to show different stages of candidates throughout the hiring process are so helpful, especially for tracking and reporting to other colleagues. 3. It is really easy to add different attachments and files to a candidate's profile, becoming a one-stop-shop for hiring managers and other stakeholders to review before an interview or selection meeting.
I like the dashboard when I log in and can see where my candidates are and what upcoming interviews or other actions I have. I like that it links directly to other systems such as Linked In and social networks. I like that it has a referral portal for employees to easily put referrals forward.
I like that it does exactly what it is supposed to. Greenhouse also offers several integrations making recruiting simple.
1. Learning how to use the recruitment platform is an investment and one that needs to be done with integrity across hiring teams to ensure that everyone is using Greenhouse with fidelity. It took me several weeks to understand how to optimize Greenhouse and tailor it to fit my organization's needs. 2. Greenhouse is pricey, but again, I find that the ROI is very worth it! 3. Unlike other systems that have lots of customization features, Greenhouse is limited with what can be customized to fit your specific needs. That said, the existing fields are comprehensive enough to capture the information we need to inform our hiring decisions.
The navigation once you're reviewing a candidate. I feel like the resume and cover letter should be the more front facing item to make it easier for the hiring manager. I think the system has more capability then we are using and I'm wondering if that's because we can't, it isn't easy, or the benefits haven't been explained well?
Greenhouse really doesn't have any bad qualities. If I had to mention a few areas of possible improvement, I would include: increased integration with Paylocity to send more than just names to onboarding, it could be less expensive, and maybe they could offer additional integrations.
